A multi-year plan established by the client agency to renovate public housing building entrances to achieve enhanced security through application of miscellaneous building materials and new user interface technologies. A complimentary program objective established by our office focused on the improvement of quality of place through manipulation of form, light, vision fields and attentive system detailing. As a result of successfully achieving these objectives on multiple projects, we were retained to prepare a standard for design and detailing to be applied on all future interventions. Over a 10 year period, we successfully applied these principals at over 20 different housing developments, enhancing resident safety and quality of home.
